The Aetherlight

About:

The Aetherlight is an adventure game for kids. "Explore the world of Aethasia™, and join the Resistance in their fight against the tyrannical emperor and his army of mechanical men! Once a beautiful land, Aethasia is now covered by a sickly pervasive fog that corrupts everything it touches. But all is not lost. Rumors are spreading of a fledgling Resistance, who have the courage and audacity to try and restore Aethasia to its former glory, and to reinstate the The Great Engineer back to the throne of Aethasia."

Team:

I worked in multiple roles at Scarlet City Studios whilst we were developing The Aetherlight. Roles included Technical Artist, Gameplay Programmer, Tools Developer and 3D Artist.

Aether Works - A Unity Plugin

About:

I created this plugin for Unity to speed up map building time. The tool creates a follow path from a bezier curve, which it saves as a prefab. It also has a utility for building a track which is saved as an OBJ. Any changes made to the OBJ in a 3D package are updated immediately in Unity. This makes it easy to tweak parts of the track to break the uniformity.

Team:

This was created for Scarlet City Studios. Lluc Romani created the original tracks and carts.

Be the Hero - Digital Board Game

About:

Be the Hero is a fantasy RPG themed boardgame focused on PvP. The video shown here is of the companion app. The actual game was physically printed.

Be the Hero - Facebook

Team:

This was a solo project, however I have had some volunteers design a few of the item graphics for me: Kimleng Cheav, Anna Lee and Kaitanya Santos.

GEOPets

About:

One of my assignments during university involved creating an app using GEOReality. I came up with the idea of a virtual pet game that reflects your location in it's virtual world. I presented a proof of concept as my hand-in which had a functional map system using Google Maps API.

This project was an attempt at creating a greater connection between virtual entities and ourselves.

Team:

I did all of the programming within Unity3D.
I also did some of the art.
Lynn Sang did the majority of the art.
Sam Kim also contributed to the art.
